Hi Karen,
Thanks for writing. GOOD JOB! i'm sorry i haven't checked the boards in a while.

I must say to myself often that the scale is my friend. It keeps me personally accountable to myself and once i overcome the reluctance/fear of the truth, it is incredibly supportive and helpful and non-judgemental!

I like the Homemedics scale that shows body composition as well as weight. it is digital. Sometimes it gets weird on me - like i step on 3 times in a row and it goes up, but mostly it is consistent.

Tanita is a brand of scale about which i have heard many positive things. Check out http://www.tanita.com/en/hd366/184-catId.520093729.html

I have the Homemedics one that looks like the one in this next link although it does more than just weight. The capacity is up to 350 pounds whereas the Tanita capacity is up to 440 pounds.

Best of luck to you!

I strongly prefer a digital scale. It's so much easier to read and I have less wiggle room to argue with the numbers. The Homeopedics is a nice scale. I like that it breaks down my body fat percentage. That number keeps in me check, otherwise I try to convince myself that my weight gain is purely muscle mass. Not a good lie to tell yourself.
